For fairly obvious reasons flat front dresses are my nemesis, there's little place to hide a colostomy bag behind a dress that has no disruption to the fabric like the ruffled, twisted or ruched varieties, but if I'm feeling bold and brave I will give it a go.

This isn't a clothing suggestion blog today, its a mini rant.

Since becoming an ostomite I have endeavored to help other people in a similar situation come to terms with the look of their new body.

Or in this case - Could you, Would you, Should you?  When asked in reference to leather look trousers I think they're very valid questions.

Side twists are one of my new favorite dress styles. I cant say I went near them much before my op but they have been a god send ever since. I love this style for the way it flatters my shape but gives me confidence that the bag isn't on show.

With all of my dressing techniques I am endeavoring to cover and disguise my bag as much as humanly possible, paradoxically, the opposite to that is what I wear for beach holidays and swimming.

Shirt style dresses are a must have in my wardrobe , they are my go to dresses for the most part. Day or night they just work for me, summer or winter alike.  I tend to wear on a daily basis, you can find them in most stores all year round and thankfully so far they seem to never go out of style. 

Having never considered wearing maternity clothes (well not since I was pregnant) I stumbled upon these in Topshop in Oxford Street and thought why not give them a go.

This dress for me is the Trifecta, it is so comfortable to wear but you don't have to sacrifice aesthetics for the comfort

Ok, so I will admit that this dress isn't going to appeal everyone's taste and in all honesty I'm not sure I'd have even chosen it before my op.

Never would it have crossed my mind to take a look, let alone try something on from the Tall section of any clothes store (at only five foot three and a quarter...and yes, the quarter is worth mentioning!), it wouldn't be some where that I'd naturally gravitate to. 

As I briefly mentioned before The Peplum isn't one of my favourite styles, well it wasn't before my op but its a great design for concealing and hiding my bag and its contents. 

The skinny jean is possibly the hardest fashion to follow for me for two very good reasons 1, I'm not skinny and 2, tight = leaks. but never the less I plough on because I wont be beaten.
