Howzat!!...

I've long sung the praises of the Eden jeggings from Dorothy Perkins, they are without a doubt the best leg wear for the money you can buy, plus they do them in so many colours you'd never get bored. Not only great for ostomites, but quite a few of my bagless friends having been snapping them up too after reading my blog.

But - shhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell my Eden jeggings, I'm just about to recommend a different brand and I feel like I'm cheating on them now. These white jeggings are from NEXT, they were equally good value for money, although I'm not a huge fan of their clothes they do occasionally excel themselves and come out with a seasonal must have!

These jeggings are no exception. They are a softer, stretchier fabric than the DP jeggings, which has obvious instant benefits of easier movement and greater comfort. Plus they're quite substantial, there's nothing worse than flimsy material allowing my cellulite to show through, that is a real no no. I could of course attempt to tackle the cellulite but I prefer to eat what I like and buy thicker trousers! ;)

I tried on the UK size 12 (USA 8) which fitted beautifully and were it not for the fact I have to allow room for my bag and its contents I would have bought them, but being the sensible soul that I am I went up a size to the UK 14's (USA 10).

Although the fit isn't the skin tight look I got with the smaller size I think it's a sacrifice worth making to be able to go to the loo when needed, I'm funny like that, expelling waste cleanly and efficiently is high on my list of priorities. After all my desire to dress well isn't from a point of denial of the situation. Aesthetics are important but not above going to the loo leak free.

*Just a quicky about shopping, I usually prefer to go with a full bag, may sound a bit odd but there's nothing more disappointing than buying something that you've only tried on with an empty bag only to find that it looks like you're smuggling marbles in your outfit once the bag is full. I find it better to see what it looks like in the worst case scenario, then anything other than that is an improvement.

I love chilled out family BBQ's on the weekend and yesterday was no exception, great food, greater company and the best part is the afternoon playing cricket in the garden. As I have confessed before I'm no sportswoman, I was born without a competitive streak, or prowess come to that! But I do love garden sports days, be it cricket or rounders. It's probably a combination of the Pimms and the sunshine more than aptitude. But it really is one of my fave things to do.

These Jeggings were perfect for the day at hand. Roomy enough to be able to stuff my face merrily with all the yummy food and stretchy enough to be able to play cricket in the garden after lunch. Probably over did the mad running about as I'm hobbling around like an old granny today but totally worth it!

The gang playing rounders, I'm fielding deep... well, stopping for a cheeky drink and taking the photos but no need to tell the others that...
